"You can do it!" That is what I tell myself each morning as I wake up and look at the daunting tasks ahead of me. Make the kids lunches, get the kids up, dressed and off to school on time. Get a shower get to work, drive 30 minutes to work, work all day, leave work, take the kids to ballet, karate, gymnastics, sports, play dates, fix any boo-boos or damage control for the day, make dinner for the family, clean the dishes, get to PTA meeting, go back home, do laundry, get the kids bathed and ready for bed, read the kids a book and tuck them in, give them a kiss because there are sweet little angels ...at the moment. Go downstairs and start the laundry, spend time with my spouse, go over bills mail and correspondence, watch "This is Us", if it's on, prepare for work the next day, wash my face, brush my teeth, crawl into bed, have a moment of anxiety think if I forgot anything, if so get back out of bed if not fall to sleep and do it all again tomorrow.
It seems like a grind, and it is... but you can do it! As people we are given super powers to fit 25 hours of work into a 24 hour day. What would take a village to do we learn to adapt to do it as only one. You are the one person who will run on the fumes of love for their family if it means to provide them a better life, keep them safe, keep them happy and raise them with morals, passion, love and respect for themselves and respect for others!
If this sounds like you, I would like to tell you that you are a superhero! We are superheros! Instead of a fancy outfit and cape we might show up with messy hair and an outfit covered in mac and cheese but we are the strength of our families and the foundation of their world! Believe in yourself always. You can do it! When your day, your week or your life seems insurmountable, you can do it!
